What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine in which treatment is chosen for the individual patient rather than only for the name of the disease. Its medicines are prepared from natural substances in highly diluted forms. It has been used in India for generations and is recognised under the AYUSH system.

How a consultation works

The first consultation is a conversation, not a five-minute visit. Your doctor takes a detailed case history:

• Your main complaint — when it began, and what makes it better or worse
• Sleep, appetite, energy, thirst and digestion
• Stress, emotions and daily routine
• Past illnesses, medicines you take and family history

How treatment is chosen

Two people with the same complaint — say a migraine or a skin problem — may be given different treatment, because the choice depends on your whole picture, not the diagnosis alone. Treatment is not picked from a list, which is why we ask patients not to self-medicate or copy what worked for someone else.

How long does treatment take?

• Recent, simple problems may respond within weeks
• Long-standing conditions such as PCOD, migraine, skin or joint problems usually need a few months of consistent treatment
• Regular follow-ups, in person or online, allow your treatment to be adjusted as you improve

Is it safe? Are there side effects?

Homeopathic medicines are generally well tolerated, including by children. Always tell your doctor about every medicine you take and about pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Being honest about limits

Scientific opinion on how well homeopathy works is divided, so we set honest expectations. Emergencies, serious infections and conditions that need surgery require conventional care, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case.
