Understanding Vitiligo

What Is Vitiligo?

Vitiligo is a condition in which the skin loses its pigment in patches. It is not contagious, not caused by anything you ate, and not a sign of poor hygiene. It is thought to involve the immune system, and it can run in families.

It can appear at any age, may stay stable or slowly spread, and often affects confidence more than physical health.

  • Milky-white patches, often on hands, face, lips, feet or around the eyes
  • Early greying of hair in the affected area
  • Linked at times with thyroid or other autoimmune conditions
  • Patches that spread slowly or remain unchanged for years
The Homeopathic Approach

Supportive Homeopathic Care

Homeopathic treatment is chosen for you as an individual after a detailed history — when it started, how it is changing, stress, family history, thyroid status and general health. Care is combined with practical guidance: protect the patches from strong sun with sunscreen or clothing, and avoid skin injury.

Vitiligo responds unpredictably and repigmentation is usually slow; treatment needs patience over many months, and results cannot be guaranteed. We will always give you an honest picture.

Getting Started

What to Expect

Bring clear photos over time, and any thyroid reports. Because vitiligo affects confidence, your consultation also makes time to listen. You can consult at Calicut or Wandoor or online.

When to seek urgent care: See a doctor promptly for rapidly spreading patches, patches with pain or blistering, or vitiligo along with symptoms such as marked fatigue or weight change (thyroid check).
